Today in Toronto, the annual Grad Ex show kicks off, giving the city a chance to see the best work from OCAD's brightest lights. There's also a metal concert and a comedy festival on tap, in case you're into some louder entertainment.

More than 900 promising young artists and designers are exhibiting at the biggest Grad Ex ever. The five-day exhibition is spread across three buildings, so there's lots to see.

This one-day festival is now in its fourth year and it features films from young, up-and-coming filmmakers.
We're Funny That Way Comedy Festival (May 3 @ Alumnae Theatre)
This comedy fest is committed to raising funds for small queer charities across Canada. There are multiple comedy shows on from folks like Lea DeLaria from Orange is the New Black and Stephen Wallem from Nurse Jackie.
Mastodon, Eagles Of Death Metal & Russian Circles (May 3 @ REBEL)
See this trio of over the top, louder than hell rock from from Mastodon, Eagles of Death Metal and Russian Circles. Mastodon have a new album, and they're very excited about it, so get out your earplugs and get to this rock marathon tonight.
