The Great Upheaval: Masterpieces from the Guggenheim Collection, 1910-1918 opens at the AGO this weekend. While the idea of a collection of World War One era abstract artworks may seem a dour contrast to the flamboyant David Bowie exhibit that's closing upstairs, the bold and symbolic, often psychedelic avant-garde works exploring the emotional turmoil of the age actually carry on the torch of colourful stimulation surprisingly well.
Check out highlights from the exhibit here .
