Toronto already has a Slip 'N Slide festival, a colour run and an EDM rave race. If that's not enough for you, why not indulge your inner child with Foamfest -- a giant bubble bath of a 5K.
Billed as a less hardcore Tough Mudder-style obstacle-course-filled event, Foamfest is supposed to be fun; there won't be an Arctic Enema in sight. Although if you do choose to participate, you'll get covered in a soapy, foamy substance as you work your way through Foamfest's 5K route.
Foamfest, which started in the United States, will host two Toronto-area races. The first one is scheduled for Saturday, July 16 in Meaford, Ontario (near Collingwood). If you want to train for an extra month, you can sign up for the Wasaga Beach Foamfest on Saturday, August 13.
The registration price is currently set at $57. Part of the proceeds will go towards a local Habitat for Humanity chapter.
