Haunted houses in Toronto take spooky season to the next level. If you’re going to put all that effort into dressing up, you might as well scare the bejeebers out of yourself while you're at it.
Here's a roundup of haunted Halloween houses and attractions in and around Toronto.
Martino Manor
Look for the heart outside the Italian restaurant Mamma Martino’s in Etobicoke and you’ve found this dilapidated house equipped with an outdoor corn maze, creepy dolls, and a garden of zombies.
Horror Hallways
Don’t bring the kids to this terrifying haunted house at 401 Mini Indy that’s touting itself as a glimpses into “the depths of hell”. Expect weird demons in this pitch black maze in Etobicoke.
The Funhouse
The new immersive art maze on Lisgar Street is transforming from a creative installation into a labyrinth of chilling rooms featuring what can only be assumed to be a lot of creepy stuff.
Haunted High Park
Toronto’s biggest public park is bringing back its annual ghost walk series that includes everything from a Victoria seances to funeral rites inside Colborne Lodge. Grab your tickets soon, it sells out quick.
Fort York After Dark
You’ll be led around these historic grounds by lantern on this eerie tour, where you’ll visit a haunted lighthouse, two military cemeteries by the Fort, and learn about the bloody Battle of York.
Haunt Manor
Head to Niagara Falls for this sprawling landscape of horror. Prepare to be terrified in the Dark Raven Manor, trapped in the Creepers Corn Maze, or get lost in Rotland, the haunted cemetery trail.
Screemers
This event at Exhibition Place has been a Toronto tradition for more than 25 years. It’s a terror extravaganza, with seven haunted house attractions, carnival rides, and magic shows.
Halloween Haunt
As if any one of the thrilling roller coasters weren't enough to scare you, Canada's Wonderland is getting its annual haunted treatment with 700+ roving monsters wandering its grounds and haunted mazes.

Billed as "the scariest attraction in Niagara Falls," this legendary haunted house is best known for the approximate 161,600 people who have chickened out halfway through. You can find it at the top of Clifton Hill in Niagara, if you dare.
Nightmare on Heritage Railway
Embark on this 19+ haunted heritage train ride from Uxbridge, where you’ll be told tales of ghosts and the like on this creepy two-hour train ride. Four course meal and dance party in the ghostly baggage car with a live DJ included.
Shades of Old Islington
Learn about mourning the dead, 19th century-style (easily the creepiest century in ghostly history) in the Sitting Room of the historic Montgomery's Inn, then explore the Islington Burying Grounds by lantern for more chilling tales.
Night of Dread
This yearly spectactle at Dufferin Grove Park marks the 20th anniversary of this ghoulish masquerade, which includes creepy masks, massive puppets, fire spinners, a waltz of death, and other odd ways of celebrating the dead.
Bingemans Screampark
It’s The Human Centipede meets The Walking Dead at this horrific Kitchener wasteland of twisted and gruesome human experiments, including four haunts and three rides. One room even simulates the feeling of being buried alive. Nice!
