With a month and a half left to go before the Pan Am Games roughly a million tickets remain unsold. The international sporting event has made 1.4 million ticket available, of which 400,000 have been purchased. Officials contend that they're research indicated that sales will dramatically increase in the final month, but maybe they should rush that BASE jumper promotion out to generate some extra hype.
A whole number of ticket pushes are expected over the next few weeks, including the opening of a booth at Nathan Phillips Square and other locations across the city. The torch relay is also set to begin on Saturday, which organizers think will help pique interest in the Games. It better, otherwise this massive production risks becoming a fiasco.
