Expanding to four locations since first opening on York Mills in 1996, Allwyn’s is probably best known for its juicy jerk with rice and peas, plaintain, and slaw. Of course anywhere carrying Fahmee patties is usually a place of note.

The Khan family has been operating this hot counter for decades. As the name implies, Mona and her rotis have ascended to fame thanks to their fluffy dahlpuri and paratha, but also for their doubles, and basically everything else.

Head to Markham Road for jerk-covered wings, ackee and saltfish, dumplings, and oxtail meals in a sprawling restaurant. They also have a location on Morecambe that’s dedicated solely to takeout.

This food truck turned restaurant near Yonge and Bloor is probably best known for their doubles with mango chutney, coleslaw, and chadon beni. Their bake and shark is pretty good too if you’re hankering for a Trini specialty.

This Little Jamaica stalwart is as good for takeout and for dining in. Their menu runs the gamut of classics like jerk chicken and veggie roti, plus their portions are definitely big enough for dinner.

Jerk shawarma and their quintessential jerk poutine keeps this corner Scarborough shop on Morningside a fave. You know it’s a staple when the likes of Gyptian and The Weeknd have rolled through, plus they have hot sauce that’s to die for.

Definitely higher end than a regular plaza spot is this restaurant in a house near King and Portland. Jerk wings come dressed with wild honey and scotch bonnet dust, and quarter jerk chickens come with a huge pile of Chubby’s slaw.
