The Best Furniture Stores in Toronto

The best furniture stores in Toronto are for the casual lovers of interior design and showroom savants alike. From the sprawling warehouses of the Castlefield District to the boutiques on King East, these furniture purveyors have rugs, poofs, and loveseats galore.

Here are the best furniture stores in Toronto.

3 - Stylegarage (Ossington)

This two-floored showroom on Ossington specializes in modern stuff for your home. Modern sofas, sleek media stands and stylish coffee tables are just a few products. They’ve also been a main retailer of the Canadian brand Gus* for decades.
4 - Elte mkt

Head to Castlefield to browse the huge selection at this offshoot of Elte, located just a few blocks away. They have everything from lighting to sofas, when you’re aiming for a modern look.
8 - Urban Mode

This shop near Queen and Tecumseth has been around for a decade, selling their own line of modern furniture along with brands like Blu Dot and the Scandinavian design brand Muuto. Their lounge chairs are particularly fun.
6 - EQ3 (Liberty Village)

There are two locations of this Canadian chain in Toronto (one in Liberty Village and another on King East) where you can shop reclaimed teak dressers, wood rugs, and expandable walnut tables.
5 - CB2 Toronto

This chain at Queen and Bathurst first replaced the Big Bop in 2012 and has carried on its reputation as being the spot for furniture that’s young, fun, and affordable.
7 - West Elm Toronto (Midtown)

The stuff from this contemporary furniture store has become fairly synonymous with condo living, thanks to their own lines of stylish and compatible coffee tables, and the like. They’re located in Liberty Village and by Yonge and Eg.
9 - Casalife (Yonge St.)

A warehouse in Etobicoke and a store by Yonge and Eglinton offer spacious showrooms specializing in modern furniture. Sofas are a bit of a speciality here, they even have one named after the city.
10 - Pavilion

Head to Queen and Gladstone for an extensive stock of furniture, from barstools and sectionals to mirrors and dining tables. They also have a large collection of Canadian made canvas art to spruce up your walls.
11 - Design Within Reach

This popular New York chain has been selling furniture from its two-storey store on King East for years. They’ve got some pretty unique stuff, like a modern rocking chair that even young people would like, and one-of-a-kind planters.
