Road closures in Toronto: August 29-30 2015

toronto road closuresRoad closures in Toronto for the weekend of August 29 and 30 rounds up the key transportation shut-downs affecting the city, including street and TTC closures.

KEY ROAD CLOSURES IN TORONTO

Yonge: Richmond-College and Dundas Square St., Walton, Gould, Edward and Elm. Between Thursday, August 27 and Sunday, August 30, a series of lane closures will take place on Yonge from Richmond to College on Thursday, August 27 from 5 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. A full closure of the road will take place from Thursday, August 27 from 9:30 a.m. to Sunday, August 30 at 11:59 p.m.

Other road closures on local streets including Dundas Square St., Walton, Gould, Edward and Elm will take place from Thursday, August 27 to Sunday, August 30 to accommodate this event.

Morningside: Finch-Neilson: The road will be closed in both directions from Saturday, August 29 at 6 a.m. to Sunday, August 30 at 11:59 p.m. in order to accommodate the Toronto Tamil Festival.

TTC CLOSURES

Line 1: St. Clair-Downsview. No subway service between St Clair West and Downsview stations on August 29 and 30 for track replacement, maintenance and signal upgrades. All trains on Line 1 University will turn back southbound at St Clair West Station. Replacement buses will not enter Eglinton West Station due to road construction, but will stop at the intersection of Bathurst Street and Eglinton Avenue West.

504 King & 505 Dundas. Both routes will be turning back west at Broadview due to due to overhead electrical work. The 504 King will turn back at Broadview Avenue, diverting east on King Street, north on Parliament Street, east on Dundas Street, south on Broadview Avenue, west on Queen Street, and south-west on King Street.

505 Dundas streetcars will turn back at Broadview Avenue, diverting east on Dundas Street, north on Parliament Street, east on Gerrard Street, south on Broadview Avenue and west on Dundas Street.

504/505 replacement bus will provide service between Broadview Station and King Street East and Parliament Street intersection, running in both directions via Broadview Avenue, Queen Street and King Street.

ONGOING CLOSURES
