The top free events in Toronto this week will test your skills at knife throwing and appeal to your love of zines. TKTO, an East York knife throwing range, is opening this week and inviting everyone to check it out, free of charge. If the sharpest object you can handle is a pencil, no worries. Canzine is back for another year so you can check out the latest zines or make your own.
Here's what to do if your bank account is collecting dust.
MEGA CRAZY CRAZY FRENZY (October 13)
Head to The Garrison on Tuesday for a cost-free comedy show. Kathleen Phillips-Locke, Natalie Norman, Marito Lopez, Guled Abdi, Amanda Day, and Chris Robinson will be providing the laughs for the evening.
TKTO - Toronto Knife Throwing Open House (October 15)
Toronto has all sorts of unique activities on offer, from bubble soccer to archery tag. The newest kid on the block is knife throwing, and it's coming to East York this Thursday. The open house of TKTO is free, so you can try your hand.
Pretty & Flawed: Opening Night Reception (October 15)
This Thursday, Analogue Gallery is kicking off its newest exhibition with a cost-free reception. Pretty & Flawed features photographs of David Bowie, Tommy Lee, George Clooney, Marilyn Manson, Willie Nelson, Ozzie Osbourne, Spike Jonze, and more, shot by LA photographer, Myriam Santos. If you want to attend, RSVP here.
Canzine Toronto 2015 (October 17)
Canzine is returning to Toronto this Saturday for its giant fair at the AGO. Zine enthusiasts and creators will flock to the gallery for a day of shopping, panels, seminars, workshops and more.
Trinity Bellwoods Flea October Edition (October 17)
Do a little window shopping this Saturday at the Trinity Bellwoods Flea. If you have a couple bucks to spare, $5 champagne mimosas will be served - so you can get a bit boozy while you browse. The soundtrack will be 80s and 90s classics, so feel free to have a solo dance party in the middle of the market to TLC and Mariah Carey.
Have a free event you'd like to plug? Submit it to our Toronto events calendar using this form.
