The top 5 free events in Toronto: February 29-March 6 2016

sneaky deesThe top free events in Toronto will have you concert-going and devouring breakfast sandwiches. On Tuesday, Explorer, Jammers Waffle House, and South West Three will hit the Horseshoe for an evening of free music. If you'd rather pig out, head to the Drake on Monday for an a.m. sandwich battle royale.

Here's a roundup of free events in Toronto this week.

Breakfast Sandwich Battle (Feb. 29)
Close out the month by attending the Drake's cost-free Breakfast Sandwich Battle. You'll see Tuck Shop Kitchen, Portland Variety, Dundas Park Kitchen and more go head to head in the ultimate culinary throwdown.

Dave Bookman's Nu Music Nite (March 1)
As per usual, Tuesday night shows are cost-free at the Horseshoe Tavern. This week Explorer, Jammers Waffle House and South West Three will be playing sets from 9 p.m. onwards. Expect to find the crowd full of new music lovers.

Grindhouse Nights (March 3)
On Thursday head to Sneaky Dee's to watch two '80s flicks for the price of none. The bar is screening Revenge of the Ninja and Ninja III and serving their regular roster of cheap beverages (if you've got a couple bucks to spare).

Adult Colouring-In (March 3)
Instead of spending Thursday night bonding with your Netflix account, head to the Gladstone Melody Bar for a colouring party. If you've got a few bucks to spare, grab a drink at the bar - colouring inside the lines is overrated anyway.

Winter Stations (Feb. 15-Mar. 20)
Into checking out some outdoor art? Head to Winter Stations. The annual competition has turned several lifeguard stations in the Beaches into works of art until March 20. It may not be the AGO, but it's a hell of a lot cheaper.
