Now that we've rested up from Nuit Blanche, downed some over-the-top Caesars and eaten too many vegan donuts, it's time for us to re-focus on work around here. EDITOR
We're looking for the right candidate to join our editorial team in a leadership role. An an Editor of the site you'll be responsible for generating post ideas, mapping out our content schedule, copy-editing and prepping posts, writing and taking photos for the site and collaborating with and managing our team of writers and photographers. The successful candidate must have online editorial experience, a strong online writing background, good understanding of SEO and social media, photo-editing skills and be able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Toronto in the areas of food/restaurants, culture, lifestyle and current news and events.
FASHION WRITER
We're looking for a writer to join our team on a full-time basis until the end of October. As a Fashion Writer for the site you'll be tasked with producing daily content about the news, stories and personalities around Fashion Week as well as participating in our social media coverage of the event. The successful candidate must have a strong online writing background (Journalism degree preferred) and be able to demonstrate a deep knowledge of the fashion scene/industry in Toronto.
FOOD STAFF WRITER
We're looking for the right candidate to join our team as a Food Staff Writer. In this part-time role you'll be responsible for posting to the site at least three times a week. You'll be visiting and writing about new coffee shops, specialty food stores, bakeries and bars as well as occasional coverage of food and booze related events. The successful candidate must have a strong online writing background (Journalism degree preferred) and be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of local food and drink related personalities, news, businesses and events.
LIFESTYLE STAFF WRITER
We're looking for the right candidate to join our team as a Lifestyle Staff Writer. In this part-time role you'll be responsible for posting to the site at least three times a week. You'll be visiting and writing about new clothing, design and furniture stores, art galleries, fitness studios and other local businesses. The successful candidate must have a strong online writing background (Journalism degree preferred) and be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of the retail landscape in Toronto.
