In order to make Toronto's transit system more accessible, the TTC is doing away with island streetcar stops. It's spending $1.5 million to bring stops curb-side, which will make it much easier for all people to get around the city.
According to Metro News, the TTC will start making the switch in June to the streetcar stop at College and Bathurst. Afterwards it'll move on to College and Bay as well as the St. Clair line.
Along with this, the TTC is making some changes to how it does public service announcements.
As the Toronto Star reports, Danny Nicholson, who's been recording TTC PSAs for about 20 years, is retiring today.
