- Chef Victor Barry (Piano Piano) is taking over what was formerly the Harbord Room to open a "high-energy French bistro with a little bit of tittle-tattle and a whole lot of scandal" called Cafe Cancan at 89 Harbord St. this spring.
- Chef Anthony Rose (Rose & Sons, Big Crow, Fat Pasha, etc.) is opening Madame Boeuf and Flea, a burger and ice cream spot with a weekend flea market, at 252 Dupont St. right behind his Bar Begonia, also some time this spring.
- Kensington Market's J&J Bar-b-que is gone, but at least something great will be taking its place—CxBO (Chocolates by Brandon Olsen) is moving in.
- The second Sud Forno location at 132 Yonge St. in the Financial District is starting to come along for a spring opening.
- The House of Common looks to be opening soon in what was previously Humble Beginnings at 3109 Dundas St. W. in the Junction.
- Toro Wine Bar & Tapas should be opening in the short-lived Bravo Restaurant space at 1588 Dundas St. W. soon.
- Calgary's Barcelona Tavern is aiming to open a location in Liberty Village this fall.
Closed
- Urban Herbivore's College St. location has shuttered.
- Bill's Lobster at Gerrard and Broadview in East Chinatown is no more.
