Free movies are coming back to the Harbourfront this summer. Toronto loves seeing films in the great outdoors, and even more so when they're screened down by the water.
We already know the floating Sail-In Cinema is coming back this August, but now the Harbourfront Centre has announced its annual Free Flicks lineup. What a perfect way to spend a lazy Wednesday night in the city.Events you might want to check out:
Air Bud (July 5 @ Harbourfront Centre Concert Stage)
Feel like a kid again and cheer for this adorable basketball playing pooch.
Wayne's World (July 12 @ Harbourfront Centre Concert Stage)
Did you know Mike Myers first played Wayne Campbell on stage at Toronto’s Second City, and developed him further on CBC’s It’s Only Rock ‘N Roll? Now you do.
Meatballs (July 19 @ Harbourfront Centre Concert Stage)
Nothing says summer like this raunchy comedy where Bill Murray and Ivan Reitman take on a summer camp in Haliburton, Ontario.
My Internship in Canada (August 2 @ Harbourfront Centre Concert Stage)
This is a clever flick about an independent MP holding the swing vote on whether Canada will commit to a war overseas.
Belle (August 9 @ Harbourfront Centre Concert Stage)
Gugu Mbatha-Raw’s breakout performance (supported by Sarah Gadon as Dido’s cousin Elizabeth Murray) makes this historical drama feel totally relevant today.
