- Extra Burger is now serving up "classic hamburgers & fries" at 1357 Dundas St. W. between Dovercourt and Gladstone.
- Lahuna Poke, which had a stall at last year's Union Station Summer Market, has opened a permanent location in the PATH at Brookfield Place.
- Korean street food spot Go Topoki has opened at 5 Northtown Way, Unit 5, in North York, offering up stir-fried rice cakes and bingsoo for dessert.
- Mabel’s Bakery now has a fourth location, this one located in the Junction at 2755 Dundas St. W.
- King Rustic reopened in a new space last week, after having closed back in April. Its new address is at 905 King St. W., just west of Strachan.
- The Dirty Bird opens its third location today. Find it at York University's Student Centre Food Court at 4700 Keele St.
- Suite 114, a speakeasy-themed bar hidden away in the same building as escape-room Trapped, is now open at 116 Dundas St. W. in Chinatown.
- Pastucci’s, a build-your-own-gourmet-pasta-box joint, can be found at 759A The Queensway in Etobicoke.
- Masterchef Canada Season 2 contestant Christopher Siu's Daan Go, which means "cake" in Cantonese, has opened its first brick-and-mortar shop at 3380 Midland Ave. in Scarborough.

- City Canteen, an artisanal market and cooking studio, should be opening soon at 2279 Bloor St. W. in Bloor West Village.
- Loaded Pierogi will be opening its fourth location any day now at 524 Church St. (at Maitland) in addition to its forthcoming stall at Union Station.
- Rolltation just opened a location at 3 Carlton St., and a fourth outpost at 758 Yonge St. (just south of Bloor) will soon follow.
- Funny Bones Game Lounge and Cafe at 3029 Lake Shore Blvd W. in Etobicoke has a projected opening date of December 15, but is currently running a Kickstarter campaign for a final pre-opening push.

- Cumbrae’s has closed its location on Church St.
- Rollipub, a.k.a. food truck Sushitto's brick-and-mortar restaurant, has shuttered in Little Italy.
- Taj Restaurant, serving Uzbek cuisine, has closed its location in Oakwood Village and will be reopening soon at 1110 Finch Ave. W. in North York.
- Robin’s Pizza & Wings on Coxwell in Little India is no more.
Other News
- Famed Montreal restaurant Au Pied de Cochon is hosting a Toronto pop up in a self-storage building on Eastern Ave. in December. Pre-orders for the limited selection of food items can already be made on their website.
- Oakwood Hardware suffered a fire earlier this week, but hopes to reopen as soon as possible.
- The giant Nations grocery store opens today the Stockyards. Along with your standard supermarket offerings, there's also a food court that serves Chinese BBQ, sushi, burgers, and a lot more.
