10 things to do in Toronto today

It's a lazy Tuesday and events in Toronto today offer a little pick me up by way of a comedy show dedicated to the great Tom Hanks, a free outdoor screening of Planes, Trains and Automobiles and an art battle. The Fringe festivites continute and a huge new LCBO is opening.

Events you might want to check out:

Have you ever been bullied or excluded? Connections is bringing out local artists and musicians who've been through it for a night of music, food and art.
The Tom Hanks' Birthday Party Show (July 9 @ Comedy Bar)
Cast Away. Forrest Gump. Saving Private Ryan. Philadelphia. I could go on, but this comedy show is ready to honour the great Tom Hanks on his birthday.
Shinedown (July 9 @ RBC Echo Beach)
Florida's Shinedown want you to tell their mother and father they've done the best they can with their epic rock sound.

Slow twang and lots of it make up the country-influenced, chill-to-the-max, soulful tunes of New Zealand's Connan Mockasin.
