Even though Toronto's hosting it, most of us couldn't snag (or afford) tickets to the NBA All-Star Game. But don't say sufferin' succotash just yet because TIFF is holding a Space Jam live read on February 13, the night before the big match at the Air Canada Centre.
You'll still get to experience epic basketball firsthand as you watch the Looney Tunes take on the Monstars right before your eyes.
Back in 2014, a Space Jam live read in Los Angeles featured Blake Griffin, Seth Green, Nick Kroll and DeAndre Jordan.
TIFF has a pretty good record for these types of performances. At Jason Reitman's The Princess Bride live read, for instance, fans got to see Rachel McAdams, Patrick Stewart, Donald Glover and Cary Elwes act out the now classic tale.
This event is part of TIFF's Next Wave festival. Members can grab tickets now; everyone else has to wait until Wednesday.
And, in the coming week, TIFF will be making Space Jam-related casting announcements via its social media channels - keep your fingers crossed for a Bill Murray and Michael Jordan reunion.
