Today in Toronto is a day to catch a concert. We The Kings, Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears and Nefe are all playing three very different types of shows. Otherwise, you can go see the Oscar winner for best picture if you need something quieter.
Events you might want to check out:We the Kings (February 28 @ Mod Club Theatre)
The Florida rockers will be performing during this year's Van's Warped tour, so catch them in a smaller space and sing along to their cover of "The Story of Tonight."
Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears (February 28 @ Lee's Palace)
The prince of American blues, funk and soul is at Lee's Palace. This will be a sweltering night of soul music in support of the new album Backlash.
Nefe (February 28 - March 1 @ Burdock)
With the soulful power of Tracey Chapman, the uniqueness of Bruno Mars and a voice that can silence a room, Nefe is a Toronto artist to watch and hear right now.
Moonlight Movie Night (February 28 @ Ryerson Student Centre)
Catch the film that captured everyone's hearts and won the Oscar for best picture last weekend. You need to register through the Eventbrite page to attend as this screening and dinner has limited space.
True Stories Toronto (February 28 @ Garrison)
This storytelling night is great way to connect with other humans, hang out, have an early-week beer and hear a good tale.
