Take a look inside some of Toronto's creative spaces

Toronto Studio CommonsWhile Toronto is filled with artist studios, many of us never get to peek inside . But that's about to change because the Toronto Studio Commons - a new collective that's bringing together a myriad of local creative spaces - is hosting its first ever city-wide studio crawl this weekend.

From November 20 to 22, you can visit a range of studios, workshops and art fairs in various neighbourhoods. No, the studios aren't just relegated to the city's west side.

Toronto Studio Commons aims to highlight the importance of this city's cultural spaces, spaces it says are at risk of disappearing thanks to high rent and increased gentrification.

The event kicks off on Friday night with a party at Hacklab.TO in Parkdale. Throughout Saturday and Sunday, participating studios have open hours as well as demonstrations, exhibitions and activities. The White House Studio Projects, for instance, is holding a silent auction, Action Potential Lab is letting anyone experiment at the Science Olympics and Pio! is doing mask-making.

Other participating spaces include ArtCave, Graven Feather, Walnut Studios, Akin Collective, ARTiculations, Creative Blueprint, Inlight Studio, Nest Collective and Studios and Paperhouse Studio.

Which studios do you want to visit? Let us know in the comments.
