Summer parties in Toronto bounce around from swanky to silly events, and they happen all over the city. Beyond street and music festivals, these parties will be events to remember from summer '17.
Events you might want to check out:Starry Night (June 22 @ Barbara Hall Park)
This is a free evening in the park surrounded by twinkling lights, our city's finest drag queens, and several stars of the latest season of Rupaul's Drag Race.
Summer 2017 Season Opening Party (June 23 @ The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery)
The Power Plant's summer party is always a free. Expect lots of fun fashion, a new art exhibition, bars, and dancing by the water.
Luminato Block Party (June 24 @ Drake Commissary)
It's time to discover the new Drake Commissary. This is an outdoor block party (they're having a bunch this summer) with skateboard demos, DJs and cocktails.
Blockorama 19 Take it Black (June 25 @ Wellesley Pride Stage)
If there's one outdoor Pride event this summer that would be considered a party, it's Blockorama. The sheer energy of the crowd is electrifying.
Beach Celebration Station DJs Night (June 30 - July 1 @ Cherry Beach)
This dance party on the beach kicks summer into high gear. There'll be musicians, DJs, artists and a general peaceful vibe of unity.
Canada's 150th (July 1 @ Steam Whistle Pilsner)
There are loads of Canada 150 and Canada Day parties in the city, but this one is a biggie. There'll be really great live music, a Canadiana pop-up shop, comfort foods and lots of beer.
First Thursday (July 6 @ AGO - Art Gallery of Ontario)
Celebrate the breadth and the diversity of the Canadian experience at the AGO with headliner Bear Witness, plus Esie Mensah, Manifest Destiny's Child and way more.
Light up the Night (July 8 @ Fringe Club)
This is a dance party under the stars in a park and it's free from the folks at the Fringe Festival.
Apollonia & Friends (July 3 @ Sunnyside Pavilion & Cafe)
A holiday Monday daytime dance party right next to the lake? Yes, please. Special guests Apollonia from Paris are joined by some local DJs for this day of house music under the sun.
Budweiser County Fair (July 14 @ 525 King Street West)
Find a country fair in a parking lot in the middle of the city. There'll be live country bands, mechanical bulls, so much beer and lots of BBQ.
A-Trak (July 22 @ Cabana Pool Bar)
Cabana Pool Bar can be a lot to handle, but sometimes it's worth heading down to see a certain DJ and party the night away. A-Trak is that DJ.
Bastid's BBQ (July 23 @ 525 King St W)
What's this? Another parking lot party? It's true, but this one is the seventh annual Bastid's BBQ and besides all the yummy food and drinks, the crowd and the music here are unmatchable.
Caribana Def Jam Celebrity Party (August 5 @ NEST)
Next nightclub is filled with the booming sounds of Caribana, Miami, Atlanta, New York, and you can expect big name DJs, celebrity guests and lineups.
