The top 30 events at Pride Toronto 2017

The top Pride Toronto events this year aren't all about partying; they're more about talented artists, filmmakers, sporting events and cultural happenings to get people thinking about LGBT life in the city and how it affect us all.

Events you might want to check out:

Trans March (June 23 @ Toronto, ON)
All trans and nonbinary folks, friend and allies are welcome to rally and stand together in solidarity during this march along Yonge Street.
Dyke March (June 24 @ Pride Toronto)
The Toronto Dyke March is a political demonstration of critical mass, welcoming all self-identified dykes to create political and visible space.
Pride Parade (June 25 @ Toronto, ON)
This is the biggest event of Pride Month, so don't miss the parade as it winds its way through the city.
Queer Landscapes, Queer Intersections (June 1-23 @ John B. Aird Gallery)
This is an art exhibition featuring work by 30 Ontario-based artists exploring LGBTQ social issues and identities from an intersectional perspective.
Nuit Rose (June 14 @ Daniels Spectrum)
Nuit Rose honours Regent Park with a major group exhibition of painting, drawing, photography, video and sculpture.
10X10 Photography Exhibition (June 22 @ Gladstone Hotel)
Now in its seventh year, the 10X10 photography show asks 10 photographer to take 10 photos of 10 people in the community. It's become a staple in visual art programming during Toronto's Pride celebrations.
That's So Gay: Uprising (June 22 @ Gladstone Hotel)
The Gladstone Hotel's eighth annual TSG exhibition is a group show celebrating new works looking at uprisings by LGBTTI2QQ artists. It's all curated by local activist and artist Syrus Marcus Ware.
The Riot At Compton's Cafeteria (June 6 @ The 519)
See this Emmy Award-winning film that tells the story about a significant moment in history – one of the first recorded uprisings by the transgender communities against social oppression and mistreatment.
No Fats, No Femmes, No Asians (June 14 @ Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema)
This doc looks at the popular phrase on queer social networks, apps, and dating sites to refract issues of fatphobia, masculinity, and racism. This is a free screening.
Aboriginal Movie Cafe (June 15 @ Humber College Lakeshore Campus)
Filmmaker Lydia Nibley explores the cultural context behind the tragic and senseless murder of Fred Martinez, a Navajo youth slain at the age of 16 who identified as two-spirit.
Screen Queens: Pricilla Queen of the Desert (June 18 @ The Royal Cinema)
Join drag queen extraordinaire Allysin Chaynes for a cinematic journey through this campy, cult film. Watch the full movie, with live and potentially very drunk commentary.
Hairspray (June 21 @ Harbourfront Centre)
Watch the rollicking big-screen version of the stage musical adaptation of John Waters magnificently weird 1988 comedy, Hairspray and feel free to sing along as you watch under the stars and next to the water.
ICON Series: an Evening with Tony Kushner (June 12 @ University Theatre)
Pride Toronto's innovative Queer Icon Series returns with an on-stage discussion with the Pulitzer prize-winning author of the two-part epic, Angels In America: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes.
Life Loss Light: Remember Orlando (June 12 @ Barbara Hall Park)
This memorial pays tribute to members of the LGBT community that were lost in the Orlando tragedy. This night will include the unveiling of a new community-informed art piece. 
Blown (June 15 @ Buddies In Bad Times Theatre)
The theatrics of aerial and acrobatic performance merge in Flying Solo's dirty circus in their fourth production called Blown. The show mixes hippiedom, The Wizard of Oz, and 70s porn, naturally.
Pride Shabbat Dinner (June 16 @ The 519)
Join Kulanu Toronto, CIJA, the 519, and Pride Toronto for their Pride Shabbat Dinner. Talia Johnson will lead an optional renewal Shabbat service before dinner starts around 7:15 p.m.
Clueless Live! (June 16 @ Buddies In Bad Times Theatre)
This is a campy tribute to the 1995 film, featuring an all-star cast, including drag queen Beardonce as Dionne. Complete with queens, show-stopping musical performances, and followed a 1990s dance party.
VillageFest 2017 (June 17 @ The Village)
Church Street is closed to vehicles during the day for this fun-filled weekend-long street party. There'll be extended patios, local vendors and a high heel race down the middle of the street.
Pink Market 2017 (June 18 @ Gladstone Hotel)
This is a queer craft, art, fashion and lit fair inside the Gladstone. It features things made by LGBT folks. There'll be over 50 vendors from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Showtunes Karaoke! (June 19 @ The Second City Toronto)
This is a super fun, interactive musical theatre love-in. Grab some drinks, cozy up to a cabaret table, and belt out your favourites with the live band.
Naked Boys Reading (June 20 @ Glad Day Bookshop)
Naked Boys Reading is exactly what it sounds like: a titillating queer literary salon featuring sexy, unclothed literary buffs reading, in the buff, to you. Toronto's adored queen of filth, Igby Lizzard will host.
Homo Night in Canada (June 24 @ Buddies In Bad Times Theatre)
The annual Homo Night in Canada show has become a must-see event of Pride weekend showcasing some of North Americas best gay and lesbian comics.
Awaken: Youth Showcase (June 21 @ Yonge-Dundas Square, Toronto)
Check out a star-studded lineup of youth making a big impact in pop culture and in music. Brighid Fry, Jordan Alexander, The Skins and some of Toronto's best young drag performers will entertain all afternoon.
Drag Ball (June 24 @ Yonge-Dundas Square, Toronto)
There's an endless list of Toronto's best queens ready to show you their best, along with music from MikeQ.
Yalla Barra (June 23 @ Wellesley Stage)
Celebrating LGBT Middle Eastern culture with an amazing lineup featuring Abjeez, Shiva, Wake Island and DJ Arabesque.
Classic Disco (June 23 @ Yonge-Dundas Square, Toronto)
Disco legends Boney M, Purple Disco Machine and JoJoFlores will have you seeing disco balls at this full day of disco and funk classics and performance.
Pan Dulce (June 24 @ Wellesley Stage)
This is a Latin-focused stage during the Pride festival featuring the talents of Baoba, Victoria Mata, Santa Cecilia and Rico Dalasam.
Blockorama 19 (June 25 @ Wellesley Pride Stage)
Celebrating 19 years of Black queer, trans and intersexed magic, this stage will feature shows from Zaki Ibrahim, Cakes Da Killa, and "Love Come Down" hit making queen Eveylyn "Champagne".
Pride Community Run (June 6 @ Hair of the Dog Pub Toronto)
This is a 5K run to Hair of the Dog Pub Toronto in partnership with the Pride And Remembrance Run and Sawdust City Brewery. The fact this is happening on 6/6 and 6:00 p.m. is merely coincidence and not an invitation to beasts.
Muddy York Pride 2017 - Pub Night (June 24 @ The Steady Cafe & Bar)
Head down for a pint or some food and celebrate Pride with Toronto Muddy York RFC. If you're a fan of big, burley rugby players, then this is where you should plan to hang out all afternoon.
iFLY Your Pride (June 13 @ iFLY Toronto)
Take part in a night of flying, dancing, and special guests; Jezebel Bardot and Marc Lalonde. When we say flying we literally mean flying inside of a wind tunnel with a drag queen bonus.
