- Tanto, an Argentine-influenced restaurant from the team behind Cava, Chabrol and Atlas, is now open at 74 Ossington Ave.
- Victory Cafe, formerly on Markham St., soft opened yesterday in a new location at 440 Bloor St. W. in the Annex. The official grand opening is set for January 5, 2018.
- Dolce Moda, a fashion-inspired sweet boutique, has opened at 420 Summerhill Ave. in Rosedale.
- Hopscotch now has a second location in Toronto. It can be found at 224 Queen St. W. (at McCaul).
- Sho Izakaya makes its debut at 1406 Queen St. W. in Parkdale.
- Parkdale institution Mezzrow's closed earlier this year, but many in the neighbourhood are glad to see that it has reopened as The Mezz.

- Adamson Bakery, a side project of Adamson Barbecue in Leaside, should be launching soon.
- Parallel, a “new concept Middle Eastern fusion restaurant, tahini factory and coffee shop all in one space,” looks to be opening soon at 217 Geary Ave., just east of Dufferin.

- Less Bar has closed in Bloorcourt.
Other news
- Alchemy Food & Drink is temporarily closed due to a flood, so it won’t be open for NYE. Its re-opening date is TBA.
- Omaw on Ossington has closed for renovations until January 2018, and Pizzeria Libretto nearby will do the same on December 24.
