OPEN NOW
- The much anticipated Jamaican-Chinese restaurant Patois is now open for business at 794 Dundas St. West.
- Braised at 896 Queen St. East (at Logan) is now open for lunch and dinner with a brunch service expected to launch any weekend now.
- Almond Butterfly, a gluten-free bake shop and espresso bar, is now open at 100 Harbord St.
RECENTLY REVIEWED
OPENING SOON
- Kad Banu, a second spot from Iranian restaurant Banu, is opening at 771 Dundas St. West. The new outpost will offer lower price points as well as a focus on prepared foods for takeaway.
- Sorrel Restaurant and Bar is relocating from Yorkville to Rosedale, taking over the former home of Pastis at 1158 Yonge St. Expect an August opening.
- Kimchi Tofu is opening soon at 586 Bloor St. West, the address previously occupied by Better and Better Bakery and Cafe.
- Billy's Dumplings is in the works at 524 Bloor St. West, which until recently was home to Gau Indian Village.
CLOSING
- Strada 241 (241 Spadina Ave.), the casual Italian trattoria, has shut down
- Beach(es) institution Bibiche Bistro (2326 Queen St. East) has shuttered after 27 years in business. [Postcity]
OTHER NEWS
- Trinity Taverna is now going by the name Paralia, though it's still a Greek restaurant and the menu and interior seems much the same.
