• La Carnita at 106 John St. opens its third location this weekend - in case you want a couple tacos before dessert.
• Lupara Table & Market has replaced Crepe & Co. and is serving up casual Italian for brunch, lunch and dinner at 1167 Queen St. West across from The Drake Hotel.
• Village Juicery celebrated the grand opening of its newest outlet at 99 Roncesvalles Ave. this past week.

• That little pocket of great Indian food on Queen West is thinning. Trimurti at 265 Queen St. West is shuttered.
• The Slow Room was papered up when I went by recently.
