Toronto food events: Food Truck Festival, Taste of the Kingsway, Beer Week, Garlic Fest

Food events in Toronto this week include the annual Food Truck Fest now taking place at Sherbourne Common, Veg Fest, and the Bogo Fring's Warehouse BBQ pop-up party from Chef Grant Soto.

Events you might want to check out:

Taste of the Kingsway (September 8-10 @ Bloor Street West)
The Kingsway comes alive with midway rides, beer and wine gardens, live music and samples upon samples of local food. This fest also features the largest dog show in Etobicoke.
Global Food Fest (September 8 @ Mel Lastman Square)
Gourmet Gringos, Sushi Burri Toronto, Filipino BBQ, Korean BBQ, Los Vietnamita, Tex-Mex, Cultural Ice-cream Truck, and more come together for a food and jazz fest with flavours from around the world.
Veg Food Fest (September 8-10 @ Harbourfront Centre)
Admission is free to this vegetarian food fest down by the water with loads of food vendors and entertainment planned.
Summer BBQ Fantasy (September 9 @ Cold Tea)
Because we didn't really get a summer, this crew is trying one last time by throwing a BBQ fantasy party with DJs, Canadian tapas from Reverie at Weldon Park, and cheap drinks in the backyard.
Sausage Party pop-up (September 9 @ Junction Craft Brewing)
Get your hands on four types of fully loaded veggie dogs this weekend starting at 6 p.m. There will also clearly be lots of beer.
El Bogo Fring's Warehouse (September 10 @ 17 Noble Street)
This is a Susur Lee-inspired outdoor food and fashion event thrown by Chef Grant Soto where terrible designer clothing is encouraged. There'll be a $4.99 barbecue menu from Smoke Signals and every item will be wrapped in Gucci ribbons.
Harvest Table Dinner (September 13 @ Gladstone Hotel)
This ticketed harvest table dinner features the duo behind Well Preserved. Chefs Dana Harrison and Joel MacCharles and guest winery Rosewood incorporate local ingredients to create a feast featuring pickled produce.
Toronto Beer Week (September 15-23 @ Multiple Venues)
TBW isn't a single event, but rather a series of 200-plus happenings over nine days at venues across Toronto. Over 30 craft breweries help celebrate with beer crawls, drinking games, and other beer-related festivities.
Food Truck Fest Ontario (September 16 @ Sherbourne Common)
Eat your way through $6 menus from some of most mouth watering trucks, all found in one park. Vote for your favourite after you've tried them all.
Toronto Garlic Festival (September 17 @ Artscpape Wychwood Barns)
Taste 20 garlic-themed dishes paired with Ontario craft beer and wine. There'll also be cooking demos, screenings, and live music. Don't forget to bring mints.
