Toronto food events this week will take your palate on a meat-free journey at Veg Fest, deep South with another ribfest, to the Philippines with Lechon fest, and to new heat heights with the Hot and Spicy fest. Wash it all down with some beers in the Don Valley, and you're good to go.

The massive ribfest returns for a second year with an array of rib vendors, there'll also be music and entertainment stages.
Hot & Spicy Food Festival (September 1-4 @ Harbourfront Centre)
This waterside festival showcases Canadian celebrity chefs, a curated food market of food to challenge your tolerance levels, a cooking competition, and lots of blue bands.
Lechon Festival 2017 (September 2 @ Wychwood Barns Community Association)
This is a festival that promotes Filipino cuisine and culinary heritage through food vendors, demonstrations, and sampling.
Richmond Hill Food Truck Festival (September 2 @ Richmond Green Park)
Trucks will be lined up at this Richmond Hill park all weekend long to serve something new. There'll also be drinks, entertainment, and lots of parking.
Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwich Pop-Up (September 4 @ Netivot HaTorah)
Here you'll find kosher, steamed, hand sliced, Montreal smoked meat sandwiches for one day only. They've brought the smoked meat in directly from Montreal for this special event.
Brewer's Backyard Bock to School Labour Day Celebration (September 4 @ Evergreen Brick Works)
Exchange Brewery, Nickelbrook, Indie Alehouse, Cowbell, Black Oak, Shacklands, and Red Thread are lined up to serve beer, while FeasTO, Meltdown Cheesery, Fidel Gastro, Fully Loaded TO and the Wafel Bar will serve the food.
Luau Party & BBQ (September 7 @ The Pour House)
Your Girl Flav DJs along with samplings from Kronenbourg 1664, Sweetgrass, Henderson's and Jack Daniel's. There'll be a pig roast and luau tiki party vibes.
Pizza in the Park (September 7 @ Christie Pits Park)
From 6 to 8 p.m. enjoy fresh Neapolitan pizza from the fine folks at Pizzeria Libretto, beers from Beau's and Indian veggies and rice from Banjara Indian Cuisine. It's a pizza party in the park! Get there early to avoid long waits.
Taste of the Kingsway 2017 (September 8-10 @ Bloor Street West)
The Kingsway comes alive with midway rides, beer and wine gardens, live music and samples upon samples of local food. This fest also features the largest dog show in Etobicoke.
Veg Food Fest 2017 (September 8-10 @ Harbourfront Centre)
Admission is free to this vegetarian food fest down by the water with loads of food vendors and entertainment planned.
Global Food Fest (September 8 @ Mel Lastman Square)
Gourmet Gringos, Sushi Burri Toronto, Filipino BBQ, Korean BBQ, Los Vietnamita, Tex-Mex, Cultural Ice-cream Truck, and more come together for a food and jazz fest with flavours from around the world.
El Bogo Fring's Warehouse (September 10 @ 17 Noble Street)
This is a Susur Lee-inspired outdoor food and fashion event thrown by Chef Grant Soto where terrible designer clothing is encouraged. There'll be a $4.99 barbecue menu from Smoke Signals and every item will be wrapped in Gucci ribbons.
