Above popular condos and adjacent to popular cheat day go-tos is Toronto's newest rooftop pool. The 155-foot long pool (47.24 if you're counting in Canadian) is located in Lavelle, a new King West restaurant/bar/rooftop experience.
I had the opportunity to check out the pool at a fundraiser for the Drive for Dreams Foundation, held at Lavelle last night. After taking the elevator up to the rooftop and walking out on the rooftop, I was immediately in awe and regretful of what my life could have been had I chosen a STEM career.
The space is absolutely stunning, looking like something out of a movie or a Bachelor group date. It's long and showcases an amazing view of Toronto from all angles of the rooftop. There are chic wood stumps to sit and gaze at our beloved city, and it will feature six cabanas, five day beds, and one gorgeous garden.
The pool itself is similarly breathtaking. It's an infinity pool, which means it's as the limit of 1/ x as x approaches zero (let x represent being a total baller). Its incredible length is trumped only by the coolness of the coloured lights in the water that slowly faded and changed throughout the night.
With such an amazing view and cool vibe, it's the type of place I could see myself having a fancy evening with friends or relaxing on a Saturday afternoon or casually and repeatedly running into my future husband/ Toronto's favourite rapper.
The only downside? The membership fee is $120 for the season and there are no day passes available. While it's a hefty fee for the use of a pool, the views, vibe, and (let's be honest) instagram snaps could totally be worth the cost- with or without the STEM career.
