If you're looking to check out Patois this long weekend, you'll have to make alternate plans. That's because the restaurant's closed after a 5-alarm fire broke out on Dundas Street West last night.
According to the Toronto Star, the fire started in the basement 792 Dundas St. W. at around 11:30 p.m. By 2 a.m. it was 5-alarm blaze and eventually more than 100 firefighters came to the scene.
The fire was under control by 4:20 a.m., but it left two firefighters injured and damaged multiple buildings, including Patois. There's no word yet on when the restaurant will reopen.
