10 things to do in Toronto today

A new month has arrived and events in Toronto today have lots to be excited about. The Happy Place arrives to boost your mood while the Hot Docs Podcast Festival centres on the best of audio storytelling. A North Face sale, party in the gallery and pumpkin parades are all on as well.

Events you might want to check out:

AGO First Thursday (November 1 @ Art Gallery of Ontario)
This month's party in the gallery is inspired by the Anthropocene exhibit and features artists Le1f and Raven Davis alongside food, drinks and dancing.
Toronto Pumpkin Parades (November 1 @ Multiple Venues)
Take a stroll through any one of the many public parks that are hosting post-Halloween pumpkin parades throughout the city.
Bahamas (November 1 @ The Danforth Music Hall)
For all the moody ones, Toronto's own Bahamas takes his time and plays it slow, encouraging listeners to get in touch with themselves.
Tim Hicks (November 1 @ The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair)
Niagara Falls' own country star arrives as part of the Boots & Hearts music showcase to perform with The Washboard Union and Tebey and Madeline Merlo.
Seed (November 1 @ The Fountain)
A new discussion series focuses on women artists in Toronto and "the relationship between love, desire and identity through a feminist lens.”
Brazil Film Fest (November 1-4 @ TIFF Bell Lightbox)
With everything that's going on in Brazil right now, filmmakers look to capture the changing cultural landscape and tell the stories of its people.
Taste of Iceland (November 1-5 @ Multiple Venues)
Traditional Icelandic food and culture is on with a week of music, design, film and events happening throughout the city.
Hot Docs Podcast Festival (November 1-5 @ Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema)
Podcasters from all over arrive for a week of programming that includes talks, screenings, a creators forum and lots more.
The North Face Sample Sale (November 1-6 @ 1305 Dundas St W)
Thermals, backpacks and footwear to get you ready for fall are all on sale during this sample sale. Cash only and sizes are limited!
Happy Place (November 1 - December 31 @ Harbourfront Centre)
A massive double rainbow, a room made of rubber ducks and a confetti dome are just some of the outrageously happy exhibits that make up this place.
