- Sakai Bar, a sake bar serving up tsukemono (pickles), izakaya classics like katsu sando and gyoza plus other small dishes, is now open at 1576 Dundas Street West in Brockton Village.
- Jessy’s Pizza, an East Coast chain from Nova Scotia that slings Halifax Donairs in addition to pizza, has opened its first Toronto location at 2200 Dundas Street West (at Roncesvalles).
- Cozy Coffee Co. is now sharing a space with Daily Press Juicery at 200 Queen Street West (at St. Patrick).
- Hopscotch has opened a new location at CityPlace (113 Fort York Boulevard).
- Dunn's Express opened this week at 1770 Danforth Avenue in East Danforth.
- Sorelle and Co. now have a new location at 1185 The Queensway in Etobicoke.
- Chakula Hut, a family-owned and operated spot serving a "fusion of flavours from East Africa and India," has replaced what was formerly Masala Kitchen at 1871 O'Connor Drive in East York.
- Wu Jian Dao, a Shanghainese restaurant from China, has opened its first Toronto location at 2190 McNicoll Avenue in Scarborough, with its downtown location at Bay and Wellesley to follow soon.

- Après, a sister restaurant to Canis, will be opening on West Queen West at 1166 Queen Street West in mid-to-late November.
- As previously reported, new locations for Kensington taco fave Seven Lives and Chinatown's Big Trouble Pizza at the brand new Annex Hotel will be opening very soon; the projected opening date is mid-November.
