- Bubble tea chain Answer Tea now has its first Canadian location at 439 Spadina Avenue (at College).
- Niuda Hand-Pulled Noodles has softly opened at 204 Queen Street West (by St. Patrick) in what was formerly H2 Kitchen.
- Fort York Tavern is now open at 92 Fort York Boulevard at CityPlace, replacing what was previously Macho Radio Bar.
- Korean chain restaurant Yupdduk, which specializes in ddukbokki and also has a location in Koreatown North, has taken over Mom’s Korean Food at 612 Bloor Street West in Koreatown.
- Gatto Wood Oven Pizza has opened at 2312 Bloor Street West in Bloor West Village.
- Eggstatic Artisan Breakfast & Brunch is now open at 1568 Bayview Avenue in Leaside.

- Leslieville's Ascari Enoteca will be opening a 120-seat second location on King Street West (at Portland) in the spring of 2019.
