5 free things to do in Toronto this week

Free events in Toronto this week are here to let you have fun without breaking the bank. Broken Social Scene are performing a free concert and the Beaches Jazz Festival is back. You can salsa, rumba and tango in the streets and there's a big party under the Gardiner.

Broken Social Scene (July 1 @ Concert Stage)
The Canada Day celebrations are in full effect as Toronto's own indie rockers Broken Social Scene drop by for a free concert on the waterfront.
Movie Nights in the Park (July 3 @ Kew Gardens)
Back again is this free outdoor film series that spans the summer, covers two parks, kicks off with a screening of Black Panther, and includes free popcorn.
Afrofest (July 6-7 @ Woodbine Park)
A celebration of African music is on with over 50 performances over two-days, plus a massive market with food, drinks and artisan goods.
Salsa on St. Clair (July 6-7 @ St. Clair Ave West)
Salsa, rumba, samba and tango your heart out this summer as this huge Latin street festival takes over with a weekend of music, food and dance.
The Bentway Block Party (July 7 @ The Bentway)
Back again is this big party with a day of installations, music, games, food and drink that also marks the opening of The Bentway's beer garden.
