Toronto is tired of never-ending cold weather in May

It seems like winter will never end in Toronto. While it has definitely warmed up since the brutal winter the city experienced, summer days seem like a far-off dream.

However, the warm days are on their way. This weekend looks right now like it'll feel closer to the mid-20s and may even feel like up to 24 C.

But, until then, we've had to endure some cold that may even be close to record-setting.

Yesterday's temperatures reached a high of around 7.7 C, which, according to a Twitter account that compiles weather records in the city, may have been one of the coldest since the 1930s.

"With a forecast high of 7 C, tomorrow could be Toronto-Pearson's coldest May 13th since records began in 1938," wrote YYZ Weather Records, the account in question.

The weather ended up reaching about 7.7 C, placing yesterday in second place, right behind a chilly 7.6 C in 1984.

As the cold winter seems to linger forever in the city, people are getting fed up.

Hopefully this weekend's temperatures will stick around afterward, because if it stays rainy and cold any longer, people might start to crack.
