- Hanabusa Cafe, a spot for Japanese souffle pancakes, has opened at 77 Kensington Ave. in Kensington Market.
- Escape Goat, a craft beer-focused bar, is now open at 1510 Queen St. W. (at Macdonell Ave.) in Parkdale.
- One Pear Cafe is serving up Hong Kong-style milk tea, bubble waffles and pineapple buns at 201 Dundas St. W. just east of University Avenue.
- Gdous, an Asian fried chicken joint, has opened at 223 Spadina Ave. (at Phoebe St.)
- Bakeshop Pretty Little Cupcakes is now open at 129 Queen St. E. in Corktown.
- Pots and Pans, a place for "old fashioned Greek home cooking" from the owners of Tzatziki, has made its debut at 337 Danforth Ave. (at Jackman Ave.)
- More Greek goodies, particularly loukoumades (basically, delicious fried Greek doughnuts), can be found at Loukoumania Cafe at 3120 Rutherford Rd. in Vaughan.

Opening soon
- High 5, a cafe and grab-and-go destination from The Fifth Inc. (Cabin Five, Fifth Grill, The Fifth Social Club, The Fifth Pubhouse) that will be opening at 221 Richmond St. W., now has an official opening date: Wednesday, April 11.
- A sign for Hokkaido Ramen Santouka is now up on Bloor St. W. in the Annex.
- Bang Bang Burrito, originating from Oshawa, will be taking over what was previously a Greek & Co. at 366 Bloor St. W. in the Annex.
- Kushimaru, an Osaka-style Japanese fried foods spot, is set to open soon at 64 Edward St. (just east of Bay St.)
- Hype Food Co., a fast-casual restaurant that will cater towards those with allergies (food will be free of gluten, peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, milk, wheat, fish, soy and sesame), is opening soon at 1060 Gerrard St. E. (at Jones St.)
- Dee, a Thai restaurant from the same team behind Shanee (which has closed its Little Italy location to move elsewhere) and Soi Thai, will be opening next Friday, April 13 at 2013 Yonge St. (by Glebe, between Davisville and Eglinton).
- Tap Works Pub is going in at 816 St. Clair Ave. W., which was formerly the second location of Fresco’s Fish & Chips.
