5 free things to do in Toronto this week

Free events in Toronto this week are here to let you experience the best of the city at no cost. The city's huge all-night art festival is back with Nuit Blanche, and World Press Photo is here to showcase some of the best works of photography. A block party, apple festival and free market are on, too.

Events you might want to check out:

World Press Photo (October 1-23 @ Brookfield Place)
Striking and visually-arresting images of people and places all over the world are being shown at this annual photojournalism exhibition.
Really Really Free Market (October 5 @ Campbell Park)
There's no need to bring your money to this market where everything is free. It's here you can pick up used items of all sorts without spending a dime.
Leaside Block Party (October 5 @ Trace Manes Park)
The village of Leaside is ready to party with a day of fun that includes food, drinks, music, entertainment and more in support of Holland Bloorview Hospital.
Apple Fest (October 5 @ Bayview Avenue)
It's all about apples at this family-friendly festival with activities that celebrate the season, including apple decorating, music, face-painting and more.
Nuit Blanche (October 5-6 @ Multiple Venues)
Dress warm for this big all-night art festival with works and installations stationed across the city, including tributes to the Raptors, plus lots more.
