10 things to do in Toronto today

It's Saturday in the city and events in Toronto today are ready for some good food and music at chef Matty Matheson's new festival. The TIFF fun continues along King Street West and there's a big neighbourhood festival in Cabbagetown. Parties, movies and a small press fair are on, too!

MATTYFEST (September 7 @ RBC Echo Beach)
Toronto's celebrity chef is throwing a big birthday festival with performances by Wu-Tang Clan and a seriously stacked lineup of food vendors.
Summerdaze (September 7 @ 54 Fraser Ave)
Summerdaze comes to an end for the season with a final night of local and international DJs spinning electro and house.
NookFEST (September 7 @ Danforth Avenue at Woodbine)
Over 100 vendors are setting up shop during this community arts and music festival with live music, activities and workshops hosted by local artists.
Tupac Resurrection (September 7 @ Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema)
On the 20th anniversary of the death of Tupac, this film tells the story of his life, work and enduring legacy, plus a special live poetry performance.

All of Cabbagetown is coming out for this huge neighbourhood festival that showcases local vendors, artists, performers, food and drink.
TIFF Festival Street (September 5-8 @ King Street West)
The fun continues today along a car-free King Street West during this street festival that includes outdoor screenings, concerts, food trucks and more.
TIFF (September 5-15 @ TIFF Bell Lightbox)
The stars are out for the first weekend of TIFF with red carpet premieres, parties, programming and plenty of screenings.
Veg Food Fest (September 6-8 @ Harbourfront Centre)
This huge vegetarian festival is going strong with over 160 vendors specializing in vegetarian food, plus shopping, entertainment, music and workshops.
Taste of the Kingsway (September 6-8 @ Bloor Street West)
The whole neighbourhood is coming out for the second day of this huge food festival along Bloor with treats from nearby shops and lots more.
